Actress Kim So-hyun (23 years old) will return through the new drama “Is It Fate?”. A famous model-turned-actor is reportedly discussing his appearance as the male lead.
Based on a Naver webtoon of the same name, “Is It Fate?” tells the story of young people finding true love and dreams after accidentally meeting their first love 10 years ago again. Director Song Hyun-wook, who gained recognition for his delicate directing skills through various dramas, such as “The King’s Affection”, “Beauty Inside”, and “Another Oh Hae-young”, will take the megaphone of “Is It Fate?”.
In the drama, Kim So-hyun plays Lee Hong-ju, an animation producer who is afraid of love because of the wound from her past relationship. Kim So-hyun, who has shown her diverse acting skills in different works, will transform into an ordinary office worker and is expected to create another lifetime character for her career.
The male lead casting news has also been reported. According to Xports News on October 6th, actor Chae Jong-hyeop (29 years old) is reviewing the casting offer for the role of Kang Hoo-young, the male protagonist who keeps heart-fluttering memories of Lee Hong-ju.
Chae Jong-hyeop is a model-turned-actor who debuted through SBS’s drama “Hot Stove League”. According to Chae Jong-hyeop’s profile, he is 186cm tall. Later, he made his face and name widely known to the public after starring in “Sisyphus: The Myth”, “Nevertheless”, and “The Witch’s Diner”. He recently left a deep impression when playing the main character in KBS2’s drama “Love All Play”, which ended in June.
