On January 9, the YouTube channel Channel 15ya released a new video titled “Can This Love Be Translated?”, featuring the lead actors of the upcoming Netflix series of the same name, Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung. The video captured the two stars’ candid behind-the-scenes dynamic, much like real-life siblings who tease and support each other in equal measure.
When PD Na Young Seok brought up Go Youn Jung’s easygoing personality, Kim Seon Ho playfully remarked, “Isn’t she too pretty, like AI-level pretty? But then she goes, ‘Hello’ in this really deep voice.” Go Youn Jung quickly fired back, “Your voice is even lower than mine. Why are you judging me?”, prompting Seon Ho to laugh and apologize, “That was my mistake. I went too far.”
Na PD chimed in, saying, “That’s her charm! When the camera’s off, she runs around the entire building. But the moment it turns on, she just sits quietly like this.” Kim Seon Ho added, “Even during filming, she was so active. She’d go around shopping — but not for herself. She’d get keyrings and little gifts for everyone. She was so full of energy, always taking care of all the staff.”
When asked how close they’ve become during filming, Na PD observed Go Youn Jung’s interactions and suggested that she only acts this familiar with people she’s genuinely close to. Kim Seon Ho, who is ten years her senior, acknowledged the age gap, but Go Youn Jung explained that their bond grew naturally through work.
“It was a bit awkward before filming started, during meetings and script readings,” she admitted, “but once we began shooting and rehearsing, he brought a lot of ideas and we collaborated a lot. And because we traveled so much together, it was impossible not to become close.”
Kim Seon Ho revealed they filmed in multiple countries, including Korea, Japan, Canada, and Italy. “We were still a bit awkward in Japan,” he said, “but got closer in Canada.” Go Youn Jung noted, “In Canada, the synergy in every scene really started picking up.” To this, Kim Seon Ho joked, “By the time we were in Italy, we were so close we started roasting each other. We even made ‘roasting coupons’ — only 10 per day, or we’d get upset!”
The heartwarming and humorous exchange between the co-stars has left fans eagerly anticipating the premiere of Can This Love Be Translated?, both for the story and their undeniable chemistry.
