IVE member Jang Wonyoung drew laughter after cheekily pointing out the generational gap in actor Lee Seo Jin’s remarks during a recent episode of SBS’s variety program My Grumpy Secretary.
The January 9 broadcast featured IVE leader An Yujin, who has served as MC of the SBS Gayo Daejeon for four consecutive years, appearing as the show’s featured “My Star.” Even before meeting her, cast member Kim Kwang Gyu amused viewers by pulling out an official light stick, openly showing his fandom.

While helping out behind the scenes at the Gayo Daejeon, where 36 teams of artists had gathered, Lee Seo Jin and Kim Kwang Gyu visited IVE’s waiting room as An Yujin rehearsed on stage. Kim Kwang Gyu, known for declaring himself a devoted fan of Jang Wonyoung, couldn’t hide his smile upon meeting her in person.
Curiosity arose when Kim asked whether Lee Seo Jin and Jang Wonyoung had met before. Jang explained that they had crossed paths at a brand event in the past. Lee Seo Jin added, “Wonyoung is the brand’s promoter,” prompting Jang to gently correct him with a smile, saying, “It’s usually called an ambassador,” highlighting the subtle generational difference in terminology and drawing laughter on set.

The lighthearted mood continued when Jang Wonyoung made her first “request” as an IVE member, telling Lee Seo Jin and Kim Kwang Gyu—who were acting as one‑day managers—that she wanted coffee. She hesitated, jokingly asking if it was really okay to send them on an errand, clearly feeling a bit awkward about asking men old enough to be her father.
Kim Kwang Gyu quickly eased the moment with a laugh, replying, “That’s what you’re supposed to do,” embracing the task enthusiastically and keeping the atmosphere playful.

The exchange showcased Jang Wonyoung’s wit and charm, as well as the easygoing chemistry between generations that made the episode a memorable and humorous watch for viewers.
