Kim Se-jeong, Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Dong-hwi, Melia Cantiveros-Francisco and Lee Jun-hyuk were honored with the “2023 AAA Best Actor Award”
On December 14th, the “2023 Asian Artist Awards in the Philippines” was held at the Philippine Arena, and the trophy for the Best Actor Award went to Kim Se-jeong, Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Dong-hwi, Melia Cantiveros-Francisco, and Lee Jun-hyuk.
Kim Se-jeong, who won two awards following the Popularity Award of AAA, said, “Thank you to everyone who help me to receive this award this year as well as last year. Thanks to “The Uncanny Counter 2,” I was able to receive this award. Through “The Uncanny Counter,” I learned a lot about taking responsibility together, not alone, and later on, I acted in “Business Proposal” and “Today’s Webtoon” and further developed myself. I am feeling how happy I am while acting. I hope many people come to watch and enjoy ‘Temple’ this time. Thank you and love you, Sesang, to the Jellyfish family who gave me the opportunity to act.”
Ahn Hyo-seop, who collaborated with Kim Se-jeong on SBS’s “Business Proposal,” also received his second trophy after receiving the AAA Hot Trend Award. “I am fortunate to be able to work with Se-jeong and other seniors that I respect. I came here with a light heart and got two awards. I will show you my best actor-like performance,” he said.
Lee Dong-hwi then said, “I received this award in the Philippines, which is also my second home. We shot the Disney+ series “Casino” for about two and a half months in the Philippines. Thank you to the Filipino people who warmly welcomed us, and without your kind cooperation and love, “Casino” would not have been born. We applauded as we were invited to international award ceremonies and watched performances of international artists. This is why we can live a long, healthy life. Thank you for taking care of my health. Lastly, I want to say thank you to Choi Min-sik.”
Lee Jun-hyuk said in his acceptance speech, “Thank you to the AAA staff for inviting me to this amazing event. I’m also grateful to the movie ‘The Outlaws 3’ and Disney+ ‘Vigilante’ team, and I’m so touched because it’s my first time in the Philippines with the Ace Factory family. I’ll see you again next time.”
Lastly, actress Melia Cantiveros-Francisco, a new generation comedy queen in the Philippines, appeared amid overwhelming cheers from Filipino fans and said, “It’s Melia from the Philippines. I’m incredibly happy.”
