Kim Sae Ron, Who Was Fined 20 Million Won for DUI, Confirmed as Head of Her Household by YouTuber

Kim Sae Ron has been confirmed as the head of her household by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, after receiving a hefty fine of KRW 20 million for drunk driving.

On April 5th, Lee Jin Ho, a former reporter turned YouTuber, claimed that Kim Sae Ron is currently in a difficult situation. He revealed a phone conversation with lawyer Bae Geun Jo who had advised Kim Sae Ron on her drunk driving case.

During the conversation, Bae Geun Jo stated that the fine was quite severe, as the judge did not view Kim Sae Ron’s actions favorably. He also commented that while Kim Sae Ron’s side had argued that she had financial difficulties, the judge did not believe that was the case, and that the penalty would not have been so high for an ordinary person in a similar situation.

Lee Jin Ho then analyzed several points of contention that had caused controversy around Kim Sae Ron. These included allegations that she had drunk alcohol with BJ and idol group members after the drunk driving incident, sent out birthday party invitations two months later, uploaded a video of herself working part-time while claiming to be in financial difficulties, and played poker at a gambling pub.

Lee Jin Ho stated that while there were pieces of evidence for the latter three allegations, it was unclear whether they were related to the “financial difficulties” that Kim Sae Ron claimed to have faced. 

He speculated that these claims had come to light around mid-2022 when Kim Sae Ron was dealing with various issues related to her case and contractual obligations.

Finally, Lee Jin Ho revealed that Kim Sae Ron’s current situation was quite difficult, as she was the only one in her family earning a stable income. Her mother did not work, and her father, who worked in China’s trade industry, was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
