Kim Min Jae Cancels 1st Fan Meeting Before Enlistment Due to Fatal Accident at Dongduk Women’s University

Kim Min Jae, who is set to enlist in the military in July, has canceled his first fan meeting.

On June 15th, Kim Min Jae’s agency made an official announcement, “The 2023 Kim Min Jae 1st Fan Meeting scheduled to be held at Dongduk Women’s University Centennial Hall in Seoul on June 17th at 6 p.m. has been canceled.“

The agency explained, “Due to the recent accident that occurred near the venue, it has been determined that it would be difficult to hold the fan meeting as planned, so it was inevitably canceled.” 

Furthermore, they expressed their apology to the fans, “We kindly ask for your understanding regarding the decision to cancel the fan meeting. This was made with a heavy heart in light of the accident related to the venue.” 

Kim Min Jae is currently starring in SBS’s drama “Dr. Romantic 3”. He planned to hold a fan meeting at Dongduk Women’s University Centennial Hall on June 17th, just before his military enlistment in July. As this is his first-ever fan meeting, fans had high expectations and interest.

Unfortunately, on June 5th, an accident occurred on the campus of Dongduk Women’s University where a student was hit and killed by a garbage collection truck while going down a hill.

Currently, students on campus are staging a protest for the resignation of the university president. They have been protesting in front of the main building for three days.

As a result, Kim Min Jae’s agency canceled the fan meeting to mourn the deceased.

Meanwhile, tickets for Kim Min Jae’s fan meeting will be canceled in bulk through the online ticketing platform where reservations were made.
