“Seo Ye Ji’s ex-boyfriend” Kim Jung Hyun returned as the male lead in MBC’s “Kokdu: Season of Deity”
Actor Kim Jung Hyun returned with MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Kokdu: Season of Deity”.
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Kokdu: Season of Deity” (written by Kang Yi Heon, Heo Jun Woo, directed by Baek Soo Chan, Kim Ji Hoon, produced by People Story Company, Story TV) is about a grim reaper named Kokdu who visits the mortal world every 99 years to punish humans. He meets Han Gye Jeol, a doctor with mysterious abilities, and starts working as a visiting doctor.
In “Kokdu: Season of Deity”, Kim Jung Hyun plays “Kokdu”, an underworld god who has been cursed to lead the deceased in the afterlife after angering the Creator, and has to enter a human body that looks just like him to carry out the murders of immoral people. He then possesses a human named Do Jin Woo, and gets entangled with Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang).
Meanwhile, Kim Jung Hyun was one of the hottest names in the entertainment industry in 2021. It was revealed that Kim Jung Hyun caused huge damage to the whole production team of the drama “Time” in 2018 because he was gaslighted by his ex-girlfriend Seo Ye Ji. Actress Seo Ye Ji reportedly forced Kim Jung Hyun to ask the director and writer to revise the script as well as avoid affectionate scenes and getting close to his female co-stars.
