“Dolsing Fourmen” featuring Kim Jong-kook aired on November 23rd.
On the SBS entertainment program “Dolsing Fourmen” (Korean: 신발 벗고 돌싱포맨; lit. Shoes Off Return To Single Four Men), which aired on the afternoon of November 23rd, best friends Cha Tae-hyun and Kim Jong-kook appeared and had a pleasant talk.
When all of them gathered, the four members of the cast and married man Cha Tae-hyun poured numerous pieces of advice to the unmarried Kim Jong-kook, who had many questions about marriage. Cha Tae-hyun even wondered, “Why did you call me?” as he is the only happily married man in the group of friends, to which Lee Sang-min says, “A friend with a happy family sure has a bright face.”
Kim Jong-kook was the only member in the “Dragon Club” (Celebrities born in the year of the dragon, including Kim Jong-kook, Cha Tae-hyun, Jang Hyuk, Hong Kyung-min, Hong Kyung-in) who was not married, and made people laugh by saying everyone envied him the most. Cha Tae-hyun added, “I don’t say that you have to get married, and I don’t recommend it,” adding, “I wanted you to get married before 40, so I looked up and introduced you to people.”
However, Kim Jong-kook drew attention by asking the Dolsing Fourmen and Cha Tae-hyun, “What are the advantages of marriage?” when he heard that he had to get married. When Kim Jong-kook said he wanted to get married before he turned 50, Cha Tae-hyun had a pessimistic opinion, saying, “You’re 47 next year, and according to your personality you would have to date someone for two to three years to decide.”
Dolsing Fourmen then hurriedly staged a situational play of a conflict with the wife. When asked what they would do if there was a conflict in choosing food from the menu, Cha Tae-hyun devastated the scene by saying, “I think I know who can keep their marriage and who can’t.” Kim Jong-kook sympathized with this, saying, “There’s a reason, right?”
Cha Tae-hyun confessed, “I only eat what my wife wants to eat, I don’t tell my opinion,” adding, “When it (the argument) explodes at some point, if you don’t suture the relationship, the couple is gradually going to break up.” In response, Kim Jong-kook laughed, saying, “Are yours all unsutured?”
In addition, Dolsing Fourmen had heated discussions on divorce period and marriage period. Watching his friends being playful while not giving any good arguments, Kim Jong-kook said, “This is why you guys got divorced!” adding to the fun.
Meanwhile, SBS’s “Dolsing Fourmen” is a talk show of divorced male celebrities, who tell turbulent love stories and realistic advice to their guests. The show airs every Tuesday at 10 p.m.
