Kim Jong-kook Thinks Working Out Hinders Romance, “You’ll End Up Fighting Over Exercise Issues”

Singer & broadcaster Kim Jong-kook drew attention as he said working out can be a disadvantage in getting married

Kim Jong-kook, Cha Hong, Kim Sun-tae and Kim Yo-han appeared on MBC’s “Radio Star” broadcast on April 3rd and shared pleasant talks.

On the show, Kim Jong-kook explained why he couldn’t get married. MC Kim Guk-jin asked Kim Jong-kook, “Is there a reason why you cannot escape from ‘My Little Old Boy’ yet although you’re already 47 this year?”. In response, Kim Jong-kook said, “I never imagined that I wouldn’t be able to go until now”, drawing laughter.

Kim Gu-ra then asked Kim Jong-kook, “You want to get married but do you wonder if there would be a woman who accepts the fact that you like working out?”. Kim Jong-kook replied, “I do. It’s a big concern now. In the past, I wondered why people could not understand it. I don’t even drink alcohol or like playing or something. As time passed, I realized its own disadvantage.”

He continued, “In every relationship, you will end up fighting over exercise issues. She will always ask questions like ‘Do you like me or working out?’. When asked like that, you may answer ‘Aren’t they different?’ but she will be upset. It’s because she wants to hear ‘I like you more’. But that’s not true. The two things are completely different from each other”.

Kim Jong-kook added, “When you say ‘Of course I like you…’, she doesn’t seem to understand it at all. In the end, you can’t understand why she asks that question in the first place.”

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook also talked about his love cells. When asked if he still has love cells, Kim Jong-kook confessed, “I don’t think it’s the same as before. Even when beautiful guests appear on the show, I don’t feel anything. My emotions don’t go beyond work”.

He continued, “I want to get married before turning 50”. Hearing that, Cha Hong said, “Come to my salon if you are still single even after 50. Many single people visit it on holidays and Christmas”, making everyone burst into laughter.
