On October 2, a new video titled “Next is GYM Jong Kook Classic…? (Feat. ironstein x World of Monster Gym)” was uploaded to his YouTube channel GYM JONG KOOK. In the video, Kim Jong Kook appeared at a bodybuilding competition to cheer on the athletes.
He explained, “I originally had an overseas schedule, but it was canceled, so I was able to come here as a surprise. It’s not an official appearance, but I wanted to show how a domestic bodybuilding competition is run.”
As the head of his brand ironstein, which served as the event’s main sponsor, Kim Jong Kook expressed his excitement, saying, “This is my first time sponsoring a bodybuilding event as the main sponsor. Many of my subscribers love bodybuilding and cheer me on, so I wanted to come.”
However, he admitted, “I can’t stay for the main match because I have to go play soccer. Honestly, I can’t live like this anymore. Last week, my soccer game was canceled because of me. And I just came back from my (honeymoon) trip, so I also had to make formal introductions to relatives. It all overlapped.”
During the video, Kim Jong Kook was seen interacting with athletes, cheering them on, and interviewing participants, giving fans a closer look at the competition atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook married a non-celebrity woman on September 5 in a private ceremony in Seoul. Fewer than 100 guests, consisting of family and close relatives, attended the wedding. The venue was kept secret until the day before the ceremony, even for the guests.
