On July 24, tvN released a preview clip of Kim Jong Kook‘s upcoming appearance on You Quiz on the Block through the show’s official social media channels.
During the conversation, host Yoo Jae Suk mentioned that Kim has become someone who actively recommends marriage to others. Kim agreed, expressing how satisfied he has been with married life. He described marriage as feeling like he had finally completed one of life’s biggest challenges, adding that having one person to think about wherever he goes has brought him a sense of stability and peace.
However, Kim also acknowledged that marriage and raising children are two different experiences. He admitted that while he is enjoying married life, he expects parenting to bring its own set of real-life challenges once they have a child.

When the discussion turned to future children, Kim said he imagined he would be especially careful if he had a daughter. At the same time, he joked that raising a son might be slightly easier for him.
Yoo Jae Suk playfully responded by saying it would not be easy to grow up as Kim Jong Kook’s son because of the entertainer’s disciplined personality, joking that any future child should be prepared for strict expectations.
Kim laughed and admitted that he does have a strict side. “My child hasn’t even been born yet, but I already feel sorry,” he joked. He went on to emphasize that family education is extremely important to him before adding with a laugh, “In my eyes, my son is already in trouble. I’m sorry. I apologize.”

Looking directly into the camera, Kim even recorded a humorous message for his future child, saying, “Everything I do will be for your own good, so please don’t resent me.”
Kim Jong Kook married his non-celebrity wife in a private ceremony in September last year. More recently, fellow entertainer Cha Tae Hyun revealed on SBS’s My Little Old Boy that Kim and his wife have already begun preparing for the possibility of welcoming their first child.
