In a new video posted to his YouTube channel GYM JONG KOOK on August 7, the longtime singer and TV personality Kim Jong-kook opened up about his thoughts on fertility and future family plans, hinting at a much-speculated romantic development.
The episode, titled “How High Can Testosterone Go? (Feat. Shorry J, Professor Lee Tae-ho)”, documented Kim Jong-kook’s visit to a medical clinic—where he underwent a sperm analysis.
“I’ve been thinking I should do this for a long time,” he shared while heading to the hospital. “I’m getting close to 50. I shouldn’t wait too long.”
Rapper Shorry J, who joined the session, asked whether Kim Jong-kook preferred natural conception or planned to use medical assistance later. Kim Jong-kook responded candidly, “Natural would be great. It’s easier on the woman. I’ve heard IVF is very hard on women, so if possible, I’d rather rely on the power of strong sperm.”

While his sperm count was a high 216 million, the doctor noted some low motility (movement). Kim Jong-kook took the result calmly, “It’s not bad, but I think there’s room for improvement,” he admitted.
This vulnerable moment only further stoked ongoing marriage rumors. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Kim Jong-kook purchased a ₩6.2 billion (~$4.7 million USD) home in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, paid in full with cash.

When asked about the property on KBS2’s Problem Child in House, he laughed off speculation that it was a secret newlywed home, saying, “No one lives there right now, but when I get married, that’s where she’ll move in. That’s what a newlywed house is, right?”
While Kim Jong-kook has always kept his private life quiet, these recent revelations suggest he may be ready to settle down.
