“The Glory” actor Kim Gun Woo, “Filming the scene at the tteokbokki restaurant with Song Hye Kyo? It was a tough day”

Kim Gun Woo talked about his first shoot with Song Hye Kyo on “My Little Old Boy”.

SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” broadcast on April 9th featured actor Kim Gun Woo’s appearance as a guest. He gave off a pure and friendly vibe that was 180 degrees different from his image of a villain in “The Glory”.

Meeting Kim Gun Woo, “My Little Old Boy” mothers poured out compliments, such as “He looks so cute in real life”, “He’s handsome”, etc. When asked if he had a group chat with the actors who played villain roles in “The Glory”, Kim Gun Woo said, “Actually, we’re very close. Although our schedules are different, we often ask each other, ‘When will we gather?’. If articles about someone come out, we share them with each other”, boasting about their extraordinary friendship.

In response to the rumor that he had a hard time during the filming because of Song Hye Kyo, Kim Gun Woo explained, “Thanks to Hye Kyo noona, I didn’t have any difficulties during the shoot. Our first scene… It was the conflict scene at the tteokbokki restaurant. I was very nervous and she told me, ‘Don’t be nervous. Just act comfortably’. I was so thankful for that. It was actually a tough day, especially because I filmed my first scene with her.”

Regarding the story that he got cast directly by writer Kim Eun Sook, Kim Gun Woo said, “I didn’t know that before. I was told about it after joining ‘The Glory’. I found out about that while filming the commentary video. She pointed at me and said, ‘This friend’. I was very happy. It was such an honor to me”, expressing his gratitude.
