On Dec 28th, Kim Go-eun shared a photo on Instagram with no particular caption, showing herself and Lee Sun-kyun. Holding a bouquet of flowers, Kim Go-eun was smiling and posing with Lee Sun-kyun.
Kim Go-eun and Lee Sun-kyun starred together as lead actors in the movie “The Advocate: A Missing Body”, which was released in September 2015.
In particular, Kim Go-eun and Lee Sun-kyun showed a special closeness as they both graduated from Korea National University of Arts. During the press conference for “The Advocate: A Missing Body”, Kim Go-eun mentioned, “On set, (Lee Sun-kyun) treated me so comfortably that communication was easy.“
Lee Sun-kyun joked about a scene in the movie where he got slapped by Kim Go-eun, “I suggested including a slapping scene, but after that, I wondered why I suggested it. Kim Go-eun really slapped well.“
According to the police, a 112 report was received at around 10:12 AM on Dec 27th from Lee Sun-kyun’s manager, stating, “Lee Sun-kyun wrote a memo similar to a will and left home.”
Lee Sun-kyun’s vehicle was reported to have arrived at the scene of his death late the previous night. The police decided not to perform an autopsy according to the bereaved family’s wishes.
Lee Sun-kyun’s mortuary was set up at Seoul National University Hospital Funeral Hall. The coffin will be borne on the morning of Dec 29th, and the burial will take place in Seonyeong, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do.
