On September 20, Kim Byung-man held a private wedding ceremony with Hyun Eun-jae, a non-celebrity, at the Sebitseom Floating Island rooftop in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Close friend and fellow comedian Lee Soo-geun officiated the ceremony, while singers KCM and Chu Dae-yeop performed congratulatory songs.
Kim Byung-man’s remarriage comes after a long and turbulent chapter in his personal life. He previously married a woman seven years his senior in 2010, but the couple separated just two years later. After a prolonged legal battle involving property division, compensation, and a lawsuit over the annulment of his ex-wife’s adopted daughter, their divorce was finalized last year.
Speaking about his new marriage, Kim revealed that his bride was actually his former girlfriend from nearly two decades ago:
“We first met in May 2006 and went our separate ways by late 2007. After all these years, fate has brought us back together,” he shared.
Their reunion was sparked by Kim’s mother, who reached out to Hyun Eun-jae during a difficult period in both their lives. Hyun Eun-jae recalled: “I got a call from an unknown number, and it was his mother. She told me he was having a really hard time and asked me to meet him just once. At first, I was hesitant because so much time had passed, but eventually we reconnected.”
Currently appearing on TV Chosun’s variety show “Joseon’s Lovers”, Kim Byung-man has two children and is beginning a new chapter in his family life.
His remarriage, blending reconciliation and new beginnings, has drawn warm attention from fans and colleagues alike.
