KEP1ER, the girl group that came out of Mnet’s survival show, Girls Planet 999, officially debuted on January 3 with title track WA DA DA. With a lineup formed by fan votes, 9 members of KEP1ER have received a lot of attention and support following their debut.

In the finale of Girls Planet 999, Chaehyun received the most votes, therefore earning the center position. However, fans are dissatisfied when Chaehyun is not treated properly as the group’s center, in terms of screen time and line distribution. However, Chaehyun still stands out on stage with her eye-catching pink hair and pretty, doll-like visuals.

Before joining Girls Planet 999, Chaehyun trained at SM together with members of aespa. Her beauty shares many similarities with one of SM’s top visuals, Red Velvet’s Irene. Many netizens think Chaehyun’s visuals give off “SM aura” and that she looks like Irene in many moments during on-stage performances.
