KATSEYE member Manon has found herself at the center of intense backlash following her unexpected appearances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival while on hiatus.
Although currently taking a break from official activities, Manon was first spotted during Coachella’s opening weekend however, not as a performer. Instead, she appeared among the crowd, watching the show rather than joining her group on stage.
The controversy escalated during the second weekend. After KATSEYE completed their performance, Manon made a surprise appearance on stage. This time, she was seen alongside PinkPantheress not with her own group raising eyebrows among fans and viewers.
Reactions quickly became divided online. While some supporters praised her for enjoying the festival experience and living out a personal dream, others criticized the move as inappropriate. Critics argued that with KATSEYE performing as a main act, her separate stage appearance especially in a supporting role felt out of place and even “embarrassing.”
