In the teaser video, TWICE appeared without makeup and posed naturally in front of the camera, exuding refreshing energy. The makeup room where the members were removing their makeup in the video piqued curiosity, as it was connected to the opening trailer video released last month. The members’ bright smiles and carefree expressions in the teaser, along with the title “SET ME FREE,” raised anticipation for the new song’s message.

The title track “SET ME FREE” was composed by Melanie Fontana and Lindgren, who also worked on “I CAN’T STOP ME,” “CRY FOR ME,” and “SCIENTIST,” and the lyrics were co-written by GALACTIKA, who previously collaborated on “Heart Shaker.”

To celebrate their comeback, TWICE will perform their new song “SET ME FREE” for the first time on the US NBC show “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on the 9th local time. Recently, TWICE won the Breakthrough Artist award at the 2023 Billboard Women In Music held at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, becoming the first K-pop female artist to win the award and showcasing their status as the top worldwide girl group with their English single “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE,” which successfully entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the second time.

In addition, they will hold their fifth world tour, “TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’,” starting from Seoul on April 15-16, and performing in 14 cities across 17 concerts in Australia, Japan, and North America. They will also become the first K-pop girl group to hold a stadium concert in Japan at Osaka Yanmar Stadium Nagai and Tokyo Ajinomoto Stadium in May. In June, they will perform at the Los Angeles Sofi Stadium and in July at the New York MetLife Stadium, solidifying their status as stadium artists. TWICE will release their new album on the 10th at 2 pm KST.
