JYP Threatens Legal Actions Against Rumors Surround Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, No Leniency
As rumors about Stray Kids’ Hyunjin intensifies, JYP Entertainment has released an official statement about legal actions.
On March 14, JYP Entertainment issued an official statement regarding the agency’s ongoing legal actions related to defamatory remarks and false postings infringing upon the rights of artists, which have been posted and spread on social media and online communities.
Furthermore, the company stated, “We are meticulously collecting evidence against those who maliciously defame, damage the honor, and spread false information about our artists, and we are proceeding with available legal actions in cooperation with specialized law firms.”
“Acts that infringe upon the rights of artists through the dissemination of malicious posts are clear illegal activities, and we will strongly pursue legal action without leniency or agreement”, JYP also stated, adding, “Collection of malicious postings targeting artists and legal actions are regularly conducted, and we ask for the active interest and reporting from fans.”
Recently, rumors have spread online through communities alleging involvement of Stray Kids’ Hyunjin with Han Seo-hee – a former idol trainee. Even though Han Seo-hee clarified that the rumors were not true, some fans expressed dissatisfaction by staging a protest with a truck in front of the JYP Entertainment building.
