The annual survey, jointly conducted by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), measures the global impact of Korean cultural figures across music, television, sports, and entertainment.

In the newly created “Most Influential Hallyu Star” ranking, Jungkook earned 3.0% of total votes, placing third overall alongside BLACKPINK as a group entry but notably emerging as the highest-ranked Korean solo singer on the list.

This marks another milestone in Jungkook’s growing legacy as a global K-pop powerhouse, further solidifying his reputation beyond group activities with BTS.

Jungkook also posted impressive regional rankings in continent-by-continent comparisons:

The survey results are particularly significant because respondents submitted answers in open-ended subjective format, meaning Jungkook’s ranking reflects direct global public recognition rather than limited-choice voting.

In the 2025 “Top 5 Favorite Korean Singers/Groups” ranking included in the same report, Jungkook was the only solo artist to place in the Top 5, securing No.5 overall. This follows his strong solo debut momentum in 2023, when he ranked fourth during his first official solo promotions.

Beyond Hallyu rankings, Jungkook’s worldwide recognition continues expanding into mainstream global celebrity circles. He was recently included in a list of the “25 Most Famous People in the World,” standing as the only K-pop artist among figures such as:
