Jung Woo Sung Displayed Kindness towards Co-star Shin Hyun Been, Staff and Fans at Jeju Beach Filming Location

Witnesses of the “Say You Love Me” drama filming in Jeju were pleasantly surprised by Jung Woo Sung’s unexpected gestures of kindness.

On March 29th, about 50 locals, merchants, and tourists gathered on Woljeongri Beach in Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, where it has become a popular spot for mainlanders. They were there to witness the shooting of the drama “Say You Love Me” starring Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Been.

The two main actors captured everyone’s attention, so the youngest staff members ran around and gestured not to take photos.

On that day, the shooting depicted a scene where Jung Woo Sung’s character picks up Shin Hyun Been’s scarf that flew away in the wind, revealing her face. Although the strong Jeju wind caused several NGs, they eventually managed to catch the scarf by attaching it to a prop.

But even that wasn’t enough. Jung Woo Sung, who was sitting on a camping chair, stood up and approached the staff member in charge of the wind machine. He took control of the machine and, with Shin Hyun Been beside him, adjusted the wind strength and direction, earning a round of applause from the team. Jung Woo Sung simply shrugged his shoulders, seemingly wondering what all the fuss was about.

One female fan who witnessed this incident exclaimed, “How cool is he?” As the temperature dropped, the two actors continued filming in their long padded jackets. Every time the equipment was reset, Jung Woo Sung willingly offered his chair to Shin Hyun Been and posed for the stills and videos without complaint.

While the supporting actors waited in a cafe to escape the cold, Jung Woo Sung was different. He enjoyed the creative process of filming and did not complain even though they shot the same scene countless times. Even when they finished filming and headed to their lodging, Jung Woo Sung greeted the crowd by saying, “Hello” first.

“Say You Love Me” is a Korean adaptation of a Japanese drama of the same name. It is Jung’s first drama in 10 years, and he plays a deaf painter. The drama is yet to be confirmed for broadcasting and streaming platforms.
