By modeling for the August issue cover of ELLE US, model and actress Jung Ho-yeon has raised the status of Koreans in the US

On June 28th, Jung Ho-yeon’s agency SARAM Entertainment stated, “Jung Ho-yeon became the solo model for the cover for the August issue of ELLE US”.

ELLE US stated, “Hoyeon takes Hollywood”, adding “With her first English-speaking role with an A-list director, the model and Squid Game alum is proving she’s here to stay”.

The released magazine cover shows Jung Ho-yeon wearing a silver-toned dress and showcasing her confident eyes. Through various pictorials in the August issue, the model actress also freely pulled off her visual with diverse charms and impressive makeup.

In an interview with ELLE US, Jung Ho-yeon revealed behind stories about Apple TV+’s series “Disclaimer”, which is scheduled to premiere on October 11th.

“Disclaimer” is a psychological thriller series that begins when journalist Catherine (Cate Blanchett), who is known for her disclosures of people’s misdeeds, receives a novel from an unknown writer. Based on a bestselling novel of the same name, “Disclaimer” consists of 7 episodes in total. After airing the first two episodes on October 11th, the series will continue releasing one episode every week until November 15th.

Jung Ho-yeon also talked about how she spent a lot of time in the UK to improve her pronunciation and make it sound more natural as well as her worries because this is her first challenge of acting in English.

“Disclaimer” director Alfonso Cuarón acknowledged Jung Ho-yeon’s passion, saying “This is the thing about Hoyeon: Whatever she wants to do, she masters”, adding “She’s very observant, the nicest person. And she’s fun”.

However, Jung Ho-yeon humbly expressed her feelings about starring in the series, saying “I have more experience, but I still feel that I’m not good enough sometimes. But that also makes me keep working hard”. She added, “It can lead you to forget that what we’re doing is a collaborative effort, and can sometimes create a rigidity in my thoughts or actions, so I really try to bring a mindset of flexibility and openness”, showing her motivation to constantly challenging herself as a model, an actress and a global star.

Following Vogue US, Jung Ho-yeon achieved another great thing with her appearance on ELLE US. Previously, she became the first Korean to decorate the Vogue US as a solo cover model. She did the same thing with ELLE US this time, drawing admiration.

Meanwhile, Apple TV+’s “Disclaimer”, starring Jung Ho-yeon” will premiere on October 11th.
