Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min appear in ‘Mom’s Friend’s Son’ “The healing romance of ‘childhood friends’”

On March 13th, the production team of tvN’s new drama “Mom’s Friend’s Son” announced that actors Jung Hae-in, Jung So-min, Kim Ji-eun and Yoon Ji-on have been confirmed to star in it.

“Mom’s Friend’s Son” is a lively neighborhood romance revolving around Bae Seok-ryu (Jung So-min), a woman who tries to reboot her life, and her mom’s friend’s son Choi Seung-hyo (Jung Hae-in), who is considered one of Bae Seok-ryu’s “dark past”.

It is directed by Yoo Je-won, known for “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” and “Crash Course in Romance”, and written by Shin Ha-eun, known for “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”.

According to the “Mom’s Friend’s Son” production team, Jung Hae-in transforms into Choi Seung-hyo, the “mom’s friend’s son” of Bae Seok-ryu. This character is the most notable young architect in the Korean architecture world and the CEO of the architectural atelier IN. Known for his amazing skills as well as outstanding appearance and perfect personality, Choi Seung-hyo is considered an ideal “mom’s friend’s son”. However, the only dark history in his flawless life is Bae Seok-ryu.

Jung So-min portrays Bae Seok-ryu, who has never strayed. Leading a successful career as a project manager at a global conglomerate, she suddenly encounters a significant breakdown one day, and wants to reboot her life.

Kim Ji-eun and Yoon Ji-on also contribute to the youthful synergy. Kim Ji-eun portrays Jung Mo-eum, a 119 rescue worker who believes she has the DNA of a hero coursing through her veins. Starting as a Spider-Man enthusiast, she becomes a real-life hero and takes pride in saving lives. Like the Three Musketeers with Choi Seung-hyo and Bae Seok-ryu, she knows their dark history better than anyone else. Yoon Ji-on takes on the role of Kang Dan-ho, a field-first journalist who pursues only the facts. With strong beliefs and a sense of responsibility, he moves next door to Jung Mo-eum, where he encounters unexpected changes he could not predict.

Joining them are other actors such as Park Ji-young, Jo Han-chul, Jang Young-nam, Lee Seung-joon, Jun Suk-ho, Kim Geum-soon, Han Ye-ju, Lee Seung-hyub and Shim So-young.

The production team of “Mom’s Friend’s Son” stated, “Set in the friendly neighborhood of ‘Hyereung-dong’, the drama encompasses love, friendship and family bonds. “Mom’s Friend’s Son” is scheduled to air in 2024.
