Jung Chaeyeon is once again dominating social media after reviving the legendary “Ending Fairy” moment that helped define an entire era of K-pop performances.
As members of I.O.I reunited to celebrate the group’s 10th debut anniversary, Chaeyeon quickly became the standout member drawing the most attention online. Her ending shot during the group’s performance of Suddenly immediately went viral across multiple social media platforms.
Although Chaeyeon only sang for around four seconds individually during the stage, viewers said she completely stole the spotlight thanks to her glowing visuals and effortless camera presence.

The now-viral moment featured the idol softly smiling into the camera while confetti fell around her during the ending sequence. Without exaggerated expressions or dramatic gestures, Chaeyeon once again managed to captivate audiences with a simple yet striking performance.
Many fans quickly compared the clip to her iconic “Ending Fairy” moment from 10 years ago during Produce 101 Season 1.
Back then, after performing Into The New World, the camera captured a close-up of Chaeyeon smiling while breathing heavily after the stage. The scene instantly exploded across K-pop communities and is widely credited with popularizing the term “Ending Fairy” — a now-essential tradition where music shows focus on individual idols during a performance’s final seconds.

A decade later, many netizens believe Chaeyeon’s visuals remain almost unchanged. Fans praised her elegant and youthful appearance, with some saying her latest performance felt like “returning to the golden days of K-pop.”
Chaeyeon first debuted in 2015 as a member of DIA under MBK Entertainment before rising to massive popularity through Produce 101 and I.O.I in 2016.

Despite becoming one of the most recognizable visual idols of her generation, her idol career eventually lost momentum after I.O.I disbanded and DIA struggled to gain long-term success in the competitive K-pop market.
After DIA officially disbanded in 2022, Chaeyeon signed with BH Entertainment and shifted her focus toward acting.
Since then, she has appeared in several projects including The King’s Affection, My First First Love, and the Vietnam-Korea collaborative film Live Again Love Again.

Because Chaeyeon has spent recent years concentrating almost entirely on acting, many fans expressed nostalgia and excitement seeing her return to the stage through I.O.I’s anniversary activities.
Following the conclusion of the group’s music show promotions, I.O.I is scheduled to continue celebrating their reunion with a concert tour beginning with three shows in Seoul from May 29 to 31, before heading to Thailand and Hong Kong.
