According to data from the global streaming platform, CORTIS recorded 12,045,984 monthly listeners as of May 23. The achievement reportedly places the group among the top three highest peaks ever reached by a K-pop boy group on Spotify alongside industry giants including BTS.

Spotify’s monthly listener metric measures the number of unique users who streamed an artist over the past 28 days, making it one of the clearest indicators of real global reach and public recognition.

CORTIS saw explosive growth following the release of their second mini album and title track “REDRED” on April 20. On the day of release alone, the group reportedly gained around 200,000 additional monthly listeners, reaching approximately 7.1 million before continuing to surge more than 70% within a month.

The group — consisting of Martin, James, Joohoon, Sunghyun, and Gunho — has also become the first boy group debuting within the last five years to maintain a position on Spotify’s Global Daily and Weekly Charts for over a month.

Their title track “REDRED” has been leading the momentum. The song peaked at No. 36 on Spotify’s Global Daily Songs chart on May 4 and continues performing strongly across Korean music platforms.

As of May 23, “REDRED” had remained No. 1 on both Spotify Korea’s Daily Top Songs and Apple Music Korea’s Top 100 for nearly a month. The track also topped Melon’s daily chart for five consecutive days from May 19 to 23.

Beyond the title track, the group’s B-side songs are also drawing attention.

During recent performances on Show! Music Core and Inkigayo, CORTIS performed tracks including “ACAI” and “YOUNGCREATORCREW.” The latter has especially become a viral trend among younger fans thanks to its addictive hook and playful lyrics.

The phrase “Young Creator Crew,” often shortened online to “Young크크” or “Youngkkk,” has reportedly evolved into a trendy slang expression among Korean Gen Z audiences.

At university festivals held at Dankook University, Hongik University, and Korea University earlier this month, large crowds were seen chanting the phrase together during performances. The members themselves embraced the trend by telling audiences, “All of you are Young Creator Crew.”

CORTIS has also continued dominating Korean music shows. After previously achieving a domestic music show grand slam, the group recently added victories on Show! Music Core and Inkigayo, bringing their total trophy count to nine wins for this comeback cycle.

With rapidly rising streaming numbers, viral fandom culture, and strong chart performance both domestically and globally, many industry observers now consider CORTIS one of the most powerful new-generation boy groups currently emerging in K-pop.
