Jung Chae-yeon confirmed to play the female lead in MBC’s “Golden Spoon”

DIA’s Jung Chae-yeon will solidify her position as a representative actress in the 20s.

According to Ten Asia on Jan 11th, Jung Chae-yeon will play the female lead in MBC’s drama “Golden Spoon”. Her co-star is BTOB’s Yook Sung-jae.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Golden Spoon” tells about a high school student born from a poor family who uses a mysterious golden spoon to switch fates with a friend born from a wealthy family.

It will be produced by director Song Hyun-wook of “The King’s Affection”, “Undercover” and penned by Kim Eun-hee and Yoon Eun-kyung who wrote “Winter Sonata”, “Sweet 18”, “Prime Minister and I”.

Jung Chae-yeon, who debuted under DIA in 2015, drew attention from viewers thanks to her innocent face and stable acting skills in her first TV drama “Drinking Solo”.

Since then, she has emerged as a popular actress by showing her growth through “Reunited Worlds” and Netflix’s “My First First Love”. In her first historical drama “The King’s Affection” (KBS2), Jung Chae-yeon played the role of Noh Ha-kyung and received praise for her extensive emotional acting.

Jung Chae-yeon, who has built up a solid filmography, is planning to solidify her position as an actress through “Golden Spoon”.
