On the morning of September 2, a press conference for Disney+’s original series Tempest was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in Jongno, Seoul.

The event was attended by cast members Jun Ji-hyun, Kang Dong-won, Lee Mi-sook, Park Hae-joon, Kim Hae-sook, Yoo Jae-myung, Oh Jung-se, Lee Sang-hee, Joo Jong-hyuk, along with directors Kim Hee-won and Heo Myung-haeng.
When asked why she chose Tempest, Jun Ji-hyun candidly replied, “Above all, since it’s a project by director Kim Hee-won and writer Jung Seo-kyung, I was very eager as an actress to be part of it. More importantly, I wanted to film with Kang Dong-won at least once before it was too late, so I chose this project.”
She went on to describe her character: “Seo Moon-joo is a UN ambassador who gets involved in an incident and begins to uncover the truth. She’s a strong and daring character who takes bold actions.”
Tempest tells the story of Moon-joo (played by Jun Ji-hyun), a UN ambassador who has built an international reputation, as she investigates the conspiracy behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate. Alongside her is San-ho (Kang Dong-won), a mysterious special agent of unknown nationality tasked with protecting her. Together, they confront a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula. The series will premiere on September 10.
