On November 6, the YouTube channel Study King Real Genius Hong Jin-kyung released a new episode titled “First YouTube Appearance! Jun Ji-hyun’s Full Life Story from Debut to Marriage.” The episode featured Jun Ji-hyun alongside entertainers Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Ji-hye, and Jang Young-ran, playing out a “four sisters” skit under the segment name Jun Ji-hyun and the Sisters.
Before filming, Hong Jin-kyung joked, “At first, I thought they were kidding calling it ‘the sisters.’ I thought it was supposed to be funny. They should’ve just called it ‘Jun Ji-hyun and the Others’.”
Despite being her first time on a web variety show, Jun Ji-hyun immediately adapted to the format, warmly greeting everyone with “It’s been a while, sisters!” and embracing the playful atmosphere.
When asked about her popularity during school days, Jun modestly responded, “Since I debuted at such a young age, I don’t think I really had the chance to experience that kind of school life.” In contrast, Hong Jin-kyung boasted, “I’ve never been rejected. If anyone has, report it.” Lee Ji-hye chimed in with her own throwback, “I feel like I dated nonstop, just overlapping one after another.”
MC Nam Chang-hee then unveiled school photos of the four stars, starting with Hong Jin-kyung. She explained, “I got in trouble with my mom the day before, so I wasn’t looking my best.”
When Lee Ji-hye’s school photo was revealed, Jun Ji-hyun burst into uncontrollable laughter, even tearing up. Lee jokingly scolded her, “Ji-hyun, don’t laugh that hard!” Jang Young-ran added, “Ji-hye’s nickname used to be ‘anteater’,” fueling the laughter further.
Lee Ji-hye then launched into a mock-sentimental bit, saying, “My mom actually had another daughter before me who passed away. Ji-hyun, aren’t you crying too? This is a sad story. That sister disappeared mysteriously, and my mom still carries that pain in her heart.” Playing along, Jun Ji-hyun, her eyes brimming with tears from laughing, looked into the camera and said, “I miss you,” sending a mock video letter to the “lost sister,” causing another burst of laughter.
When her own school photo was shown, Jang Young-ran confidently said, “I’ve already revealed everything on broadcasts. I did double eyelid surgery, but my nose and mouth are all mine. I’ve had my eyes done three times, but the nose is mine. Doesn’t the eye shape look like anteater’s? It runs in the family.”
Finally, Jun Ji-hyun’s photo from her days at Dongguk University was shown. Her youthful and elegant appearance stunned the rest of the cast, who couldn’t help but admire her beauty, saying, “She’s seriously gorgeous.”
