Model and actor Julien Kang announced his engagement to his girlfriend, influencer JJ, on Instagram on June 27th.
Julien Kang posted a photo with the caption, “Why waste time when you know she’s the one? #engaged.” In the revealed photo, Julien Kang and JJ are seen wearing engagement rings and affectionately holding hands.
JJ also shared the news of their engagement through her YouTube channel, ‘TMI JeeEun.’ In the video, JJ opens up, “Last night, my boyfriend asked me, ‘Do you love me?’ And when I said yes, he gave me a ring and asked me to marry him.“
JJ showed the engagement ring to the camera and shared, “We were casually talking and wearing comfortable clothes when suddenly he said it. I was really surprised. He didn’t just buy the ring from a store. He had it custom-made overseas.”
JJ continued, “Just a while ago, he suddenly became interested in diamonds and started watching YouTube videos about them. I thought he simply developed a new interest.”
Julien Kang said, “I didn’t want to just buy the ring from a store with money. I wanted to personally put effort into finding it. It holds more meaning than buying it from a store. Can’t we only give such a ring once in a lifetime?” He sweetly said, “We’re now engaged. You’re my fiancé. I’m really lucky.”
Julien Kang continued, “We’re truly compatible. (JJ) has all the qualities I like. So, there’s no need to waste time. My heart is certain. This is how I (proposed).”
Julien Kang and JJ started dating in May. It was recently revealed that the two had gone from being close friends to lovers.
