The recent controversy of Cai Xukun causes netizens to recall Kris Wu’s past scandal, and point out various similarities.
Recently, Cai Xukun has been making headlines in China after he was revealed to have gotten a one-night stand pregnant and asked her to get an abortion. The scandal has had a serious impact on Cai Xukun’s image as the “national center” and a “versatile idol”, especially since he is famous for having a huge number of “girlfriend fans”.
At the same time, netizens begin to link Cai Xukun’s scandal with that of Kris Wu (also known as Wu Yifan), and point out that both controversies involve the artists’ mothers.
In particular, it was reported that after Cai Xukun met a woman (hereinafter referred to as “C”) at a karaoke room, he slept with her and got her pregnant. A month later, C discovered that she got pregnant, and informed Cai Xukun, who asked her to abort the baby. A recording, said to be between Cai Xukun’s mother and C, was also released, sparking outrage among netizens, who criticized Cai Xukun’s mother for her serious violation of privacy.
Coincidentally, also on July 18, 2021, Kris Wu was embroiled in a scandal, which involved accusations of sexual coercion and sleeping with underage women. In particular, hot girl Du Meizhu alleged Kris Wu of threatening her and having relationships with more than seven victims, some of whom were minors.
