Jo Yu-ri Describes ‘Squid Game 2’ Audition, “I Kept Shaking While Reading The Script”
Singer-actress Jo Yu-ri recalled the audition for Netflix’s original series “Squid Game 2”
KBS 2TV “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant” broadcast on October 27th featured Nam Chang-hee and Jo Yu-ri as special MCs. Actress Jin Seo-yeon appeared as a guest and shared her healthy eating habits.
That day, Jo Yu-ri expressed her admiration for Lee Jung-hyun, saying “Senior Lee Jung-hyun is an all-rounder goddess who can do both singing and acting”.
Lee Jung-hyun thanked Jo Yu-ri and replied, “You’re appearing in ‘Squid Game 2’. Doesn’t it mean you’re going to become a world-class actress?”. Earlier in June, the news of Jo Yu-ri being cast for “Squid Game 2” was announced.
Boom commented, “You must have been very happy when you passed the audition”. In response, Jo Yu-ri said, “I was very happy. I couldn’t believe it”.
When Lee Jung-hyun asked about what she did at the audition, Jo Yu-ri replied, “They gave me an audition script for Season 1. After going to the set, I received a Season 2 excerpt. I remember that I was shaking for about 30 minutes while reading the script”.
Hearing that, Boom complimented her, “You overcame a challenge again.”
