On the July 29 broadcast of the SBS variety show Whenever Possible, actress Jo Yeo-jeong made an appearance alongside Jo Jung-suk, bringing laughter and warmth as they toured the Pangyo area.
What captured viewers’ attention the most, however, was the reveal of Jo Yeo-jeong’s past photos—from her childhood to high school years—which drew gasps of admiration. The photos showed her undeniable natural beauty and flawless visuals, proving she’s always been a standout with no awkward phase to speak of.
Jo Yeo-jeong shared, “I made my debut in 1997 as a high school student through a magazine called CeCi. I personally sent in my photos to apply. Back then, CeCi was the favorite magazine among middle and high school girls.”
MC Yoo Jae-suk responded with praise: “Debuting through a magazine back then meant you were really famous.” Jo Jung-suk, who is the same age as Jo Yeo-jeong, added, “I used to read that magazine a lot too.”
Jo Yeo-jeong also spoke about her long-standing friendship with Jo Jung-suk. “We met 20 years ago through the musical Grease. We became close then and have stayed friends ever since.”
Now, two decades later, they’ve reunited for the film My Daughter Is a Zombie. Jo Yeo-jeong recalled, “When I heard Jung-suk was cast, I immediately said I’d do it—even if it was just for one scene. But it turned out I had more scenes than I expected.”
Their mutual respect was evident on-screen as Jo Yeo-jeong complimented, “He’s just the same as he was back then. He’s such a great actor—I was really curious to see how he’d perform on set.” Jo Jung-suk replied warmly, “What are you saying, Yeo-jeong? You’re the better actor.”
To top it off, Jo Yeo-jeong shared a quirky habit: “On my days off, I go to a dance studio. And when I’m hungry at night, I watch mukbang videos—especially a compilation of Jae-suk oppa eating ramen. That’s my go-to.”
Jo Yeo-jeong continues to charm with her timeless beauty, down-to-earth personality, and strong friendships—earning admiration both on and off screen.
