On January 20th, Jo Kwon and EXID’s Hani were confirmed to have unfollowed Hyuna.
It drew attention because Jo Kwon and Hani unfollowed Hyuna right after she announced her romantic relationship with Yong Jun-hyung. As the public poured criticism over Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyun’s romance, Jo Kwon and Hani also indirectly expressed their position of not supporting the two’s love by unfollowing the SNS account of Hyuna.
Although Jo Kwon used to be under CUBE Entertainment together with Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyung, it seems like he also felt disappointed by the news. Hyuna broke up with singer Dawn in November 2022 after six years of dating and started a new romance with Yong Jun-hyung, who is also known to have been friends with Jung Joon-young.
Jung Joon-young’s Group Chat is a sex crime case related to the Burning Sun Scandal in 2019. At that time, Jung Joon-young secretly filmed sex videos of drunk women at clubs and illegally distributed them to his acquaintances. However, the public gaze on him is still cold until now. In this situation, it is easy to understand why acquaintances are trying to distance themselves from Hyuna knowing she has started dating Yong Jun-hyung.
Meanwhile, Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyung posted the same photo showing them holding hands on SNS on the 18th. Dating rumors arose, but the two’s agencies refused to release an official position, stating that it was the artists’ personal matter.
However, Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyung already admitted to the romance themselves.
