Actress Ji Ye Eun has officially confirmed her relationship with dancer Vata. At the same time, past dating rumors involving Hyeri and dancer Wootae have once again come into the spotlight.
On April 13, Ji Ye Eun’s agency CP Entertainment stated, “The two have known each other as colleagues and recently developed mutual feelings. We ask for your warm support,” officially acknowledging her relationship with Vata.
Both born in 1994, Ji Ye Eun and Vata reportedly first met at church and remained friends before their relationship turned romantic.
Ji Ye Eun made her debut in 2017 through the web drama How-To. She later gained recognition as a crew member on the Coupang Play variety show SNL Korea and is currently a fixed cast member on Running Man.
Vata is the leader of the dance crew We Dem Boyz, which rose to fame after finishing as runner-up on Mnet’s dance competition show Street Man Fighter in 2022. He gained significant attention for choreographing Zico’s hit song New Thing during the show. More recently, he participated in choreographing Jennie’s solo track Like Jennie.
Romances between actors and dancers are not entirely new in the entertainment industry.
Back in July last year, Hyeri and Wootae were caught up in dating rumors. The two reportedly met while working on the film Victory, which premiered in 2024. In the movie, Hyeri played Pil-seon, the passionate leader of a cheerleading club called Millennium Girls, while Wootae was involved as a choreography instructor for the production.
At the time, Hyeri’s agency Sublime responded cautiously, stating, “It concerns the actress’s private life, so it is difficult to confirm.”
Although the relationship was never officially confirmed, the absence of a clear denial led many to believe that the rumors held some truth.
Hyeri debuted in 2010 as a member of Girl’s Day and has successfully transitioned into acting while continuing her music career.
Wootae, a member of the dance crew Mbitious, also gained recognition through Street Man Fighter, where he stood out by securing the “main dancer” position during the “Sub-leader Class” mission.
