On September 6, Coupang Play’s Office Workers 2 featured actors Cho Yeo Jeong and Jung Sung Il, stars of the film Murderer Report. During the show, Kim Won Hoon jokingly offered to connect the guests with YouTube’s “Shortbox” channel, sparking some playful confusion.
Car, the Garden then suggested, “Do you like Running Man? What about filming at Ji Ye Eun’s house?” Ji Ye Eun responded with an awkward smile. Cho Yeo Jeong added, “Would filming Shortbox there work?” prompting laughter.
Kim Won Hoon followed up by mentioning, “We’d like to shoot there, but we couldn’t even turn on the lights,” directly referencing Ji Ye Eun’s past Running Man housewarming controversy. At that, Ji Ye Eun, nearly in tears, reacted in embarrassment, saying, “Why are you like this?”
Previously, Ji Ye Eun drew criticism after appearing dismissive during her housewarming episode on Running Man. She had insisted on choosing which gifts to accept, declined the PD’s request to turn on lights, and even rejected presents from Song Ji Hyo and Yang Se Chan. Only when Yoo Jae Suk and others complained about the darkness did she reluctantly switch on the lights.
Despite being the host, she hadn’t prepared food for the guests, leaving Yang Se Chan to cook, and used disposable utensils for the members. While some defended it as a broadcast concept, others accused her of rudeness, fueling a heated debate.
Following the backlash, Ji Ye Eun’s agency announced that she would take a break from activities due to health concerns. Medical staff recommended she prioritize recovery, and since September she has been on a rest period of at least three weeks.
