Ji Chang-wook Reacts To ‘Romcom King’ Title, “I’m Embarrassed, Please Vote After Watching The Drama”
Actor Ji Chang-wook talked about viewers calling him “Romcom King”
The press conference for JTBC’s new Sat-Sun drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri” was held online on December 1st. Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hye-sun and director Cha Young-hoon attended the event.
“Welcome to Samdal-ri” tells about the romance of Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun) with her childhood friend Yong-pil (Ji Chang-wook), who cherishes their hometown as she returns to her hometown after losing everything to gain healing and find love.
Regarding the reason he decided to appear in this drama, Ji Chang-wook said, “I felt comfortable and warm after reading the script. I find the story refreshing, warm, and pleasant.”
In particular, Ji Chang-wook finally returned to be a “Romcom King” after a long time. As soon as he heard the title, the actor looked shy. He replied, “I’m embarrassed. ‘Romcom King’… I feel embarrassed and ashamed every time people look in my eyes and say that. I don’t know how to react”.
He continued, “I did my best to showcase that aspect in ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri’. I hope viewers can make a vote on whether I am ‘Romcom King’ or not after watching the entire drama”.
Meanwhile, “Welcome to Samdal-ri” will premiere at 10:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
