According to Ten Asia on January 9th, Ji Chang-wook recently received a casting offer to appear in the new drama “The Mantis” as the male lead.
“The Mantis is a thriller about a woman who was imprisoned as a serial killer a long time ago and the new incident that happens when someone mimics her method and begins a series of murders. The project drew attention as it’s a remake of the original French drama of the same name released on Netflix in December 2017.
Earlier, actress Go Hyun-jung made headlines as she was reported to participate in the Korean remake “The Mantis” as the female lead. The drama will be co-produced by Merry Christmas and MegaMonster. According to the plan, the production will begin in earnest within this year.
Ji Chang-wook is receiving favorable reviews for his performance in JTBC’s drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri”. In this series, he plays Yong-pil, who comforts the heart of his soulmate Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun) as she faces various struggles in life, providing both warmth and excitement to viewers.
