Jeong Ryeo-won, Um Ji-won attended Gong Hyo-jin’s wedding in New York, showing off their friendship

Actress Jeong Ryeo-won and Um Ji-won showed off their loyal friendship by attending their friend Gong Hyo-jin’s wedding in New York. 

According to a number of entertainment insiders on Oct 11th, Jeong Ryeo-won and Um Ji-won flew to New York to attend Gong Hyo-jin’s wedding. Although it is a small wedding held behind closed doors with only relatives of both families invited, the actresses were willing to board the plane to celebrate their best friend’s new start. 

Um Ji-won’s agency C-JeS Entertainment told Maeil Business Star Today, “Um Ji-won will attend Gong Hyo-jin and Kevin Oh’s wedding. It is difficult to confirm the exact schedule since she is currently on a personal trip, but she will attend the wedding.”

Recently, Jeong Ryeo-won attended the 66th London International Film Festival in London, England, as part of the film “The Woman in the White Car.” After finishing the festival’s schedule and attending the wedding ceremony in New York, she will visit the 22nd San Diego International Film Festival in the United States from Oct 19th. In other words, she has taken time to attend Gong Hyo-jin‘s wedding amid a tight schedule. 

Um Ji-won also made time for her best friend. With the aftermath of the recently ended series “Little Women” still lingering, she boarded a flight to New York during her precious break. 

In the midst of their friends and families’ blessings, Gong Hyo-jin and Kevin Oh will have a wedding ceremony in New York on Oct 11th (local time). 

Earlier, Gong Hyo-jin received the bouquet at the wedding of actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin on March 31st. Since then, her dating relationship with Kevin Oh, who is 10 years younger than her, has been revealed, before she announced her wedding with Kevin Oh in August, five months after receiving the bouquet. 

At the time of the wedding announcement, Kevin Oh said, “I met a woman two years ago, and over time, we realized that we are necessary to each other’s existence. She has become my life’s best friend and soulmate. I’m about to call her my wife. I’m going to have a quiet wedding this fall where I was born. I’m about to embark on a new voyage in life and music. I hope we can enjoy the best life for each other, and please continue to support us,” he said. 

Gong made her debut in 1999 with the movie “Memento Mori”. She has been called the queen of romantic comedy by succeeding in various works such as the drama “Hello My Teacher,” “Pasta,” “The Greatest Love,” and “When the Camellia Blooms.” She has confirmed her appearance in the next work titled “Ask the Stars.”

Kevin Oh was the winner of Mnet’s “Superstar K Season 7” in 2015, and ranked fifth on JTBC’s “Super Band” in 2019. Since then, he has been focusing on working as a singer-songwriter.
