On September 22, a press conference for Genie TV’s original series Ms. Incognito was held at CGV Yeongdeungpo in Seoul, attended by Jeon Yeo-bin, Jinyoung, Seo Hyun-woo, Jang Yoon-ju, Joo Hyun-young, and director Park Yoo-young.

The drama follows a poor female bodyguard who enters into a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol chairman, only to find herself entangled in a dangerous inheritance battle. For three months, she must disguise herself as Busemi, a highly qualified kindergarten teacher, while hiding her true identity and surviving threats from those after the fortune.

Jeon plays Kim Young-ran, a bodyguard who dreams of resetting her life. Reflecting on her decision, she said, “When I first read the script, I was struck by the line that said, ‘You can be happy just as you are.’ It stayed with me so much that I wrote it down and even pinned it to a board. That’s what drew me to the project.”

She added that she was eager to work with director Park Yoo-young: “I remembered how he captured emotions so well in The Kidnapping Day, even though it was a genre piece. As soon as I met him, I immediately thought, ‘I want to do this work,’ and I couldn’t hide my desire as an actor.”

On taking on her first title role in a decade, Jeon admitted she didn’t realize it at first: “At the beginning, I didn’t even think of it as a title role. I just felt grateful to meet such a good character. It was only after reading articles calling it a ‘title role’ that I realized the responsibility it carries.”

She continued, “On set, everyone carries a sense of responsibility, so it didn’t feel particularly different. Of course, the weight of responsibility doubled, but I approached the project with the same pure heart I’ve always had and worked hard.”

Ms. Incognito premieres September 29 at 10 p.m. KST on ENA.
