Jeon Somi confessed that among I.O.I members, she fought the most with Kim Doyeon.
During the May 4 episode of SBS variety show “Ah, But Seriously!” (Korean title: “Akeunjin”), the entire I.O.I group gathered to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary. The reunion sparked nostalgia as the members reminisced about their trainee days and life in a shared dorm.

When Lee Suji asked who fought the most back then, all eyes quickly turned to Jeon Somi and Kim Doyeon. Laughing, Kim said, “But we actually get along well,” while Jeon admitted, “We got along when we were having fun, but we also fought quite a few times.”
The reason for their quarrels was surprisingly trivial—Somi’s tone of voice. Jeon revealed, “Doyeon unnie didn’t like the way I talked,” while Chungha chimed in, “It really wasn’t a big deal.”

Kim Doyeon explained, “Somi and I are only two years apart, so maybe I was overly sensitive to how she spoke.” Jeon then recalled one hilarious incident: “I was washing dishes, and Doyeon asked if she could eat some bread I bought. I told her, ‘Go ahead,’ and she suddenly said, ‘Why are you talking like that?’” The studio burst into laughter.
EXO’s Kai, who appeared on the show, sided with Somi, joking, “That’s unfair—she even bought the bread! The older members must’ve really drilled Confucian values into her.” Jeon added that Doyeon ended up not eating the bread out of pride.
Still, Jeon admitted she rarely backs down when conflicts arise. When asked if she apologizes or tries to change when her seniors scold her, she replied matter‑of‑factly, “Never. I go all the way.” Her honest, confident attitude once again proved why she’s known as the “youngest on top” in the K‑pop world.
