Jeon So-min decided to drop “Running Man” after being bullied by haters for a long time?
On October 23rd, Jeon So-min’s agency announced Jeon So-min’s withdrawal from SBS’s “Running Man”, saying “She will leave the program after completing the upcoming recording on October 20th”.
Regarding the reason, the agency said, “After a long discussion with ‘Running Man’ team and careful consideration, the actress decided to spend time recharging herself so that she could show better performances, such as acting, in the future”.
In fact, Jeon So-min has been enduring constant malicious comments and personal attacks from viewers ever since she joined “Running Man” in April 2017. Many even left comments demanding her withdrawal from the show on “Running Man” official YouTube channel. As a result, “Running Man” production team eventually closed the viewers’ bulletin board on its website in 2020. They explained, “The viewers’ bulleting board will be switched to private due to malicious comments, such as indiscriminate swearing, excessive slander, impersonation, etc. against the cast”.
On the other hand, fitness model Jeon Wook-min, Jeon So-min’s younger brother, once revealed the messages he received from the haters, saying, “This is coming too much.” The haters’ messages said, “Jeon So-min is filming ‘Running Man’ every day, I curse your whole family. Later, in July last year, Jeon So-min once responded to haters who posted malicious comments. At the time, Jeon So-min released a video showing herself wearing a tube during the filming of “Running Man” and Haha dragging her legs and throwing her into the wavy pool.

However, a foreign netizen left a malicious comment on Jeon So-min’s post, saying “Please, get out of Running Man.” Jeon So-min responded head-on by setting the comment as a “fixed comment” and sticking it at the top of the comment window. Netizens from Korea and abroad criticized the comment, but the person did not delete it.
Despite the initial criticism she received when first joining “Running Man“, the actress were eventually recognized for her quick adaptation to the variety program.
