On January 24, a video titled “The day we visited Jong-seo’s house, met four dogs, and watched Transit Love” was released on the YouTube channel Yoonjure . In the video, model Jang Yoon-ju visited Jeon Jong-seo’s newly arranged home, where the actress shared personal stories tied to the space.

Jeon Jong-seo explained that the house was originally where she lived with her parents. As her father’s health deteriorated due to a rare illness, moving around the house, especially using the stairs, became increasingly difficult for him. “My dad started having trouble going up and down the stairs. As his condition worsened, assistive devices were installed throughout the house,” she recalled. Eventually, her parents moved urgently to a residence better suited for wheelchair use.

She went on to share that her father’s condition continued to worsen, and he spent his final days fighting the illness before passing away. “After that, my mom and I were left behind. My mom said she couldn’t stay there anymore, so I lived with her for a while,” Jeon said, adding with a bittersweet laugh that her mother later decided she needed to live alone.

Jeon Jong-seo also reflected on how her mother changed after her father’s passing. “The mom who had my dad beside her and the mom without him felt like two different people. I realized that over about two years,” she said. As time passed, her mother eventually felt ready to return to her own place.

Ultimately, Jeon decided to move back into the family home herself. “When I thought about it, I realized I was happiest when I lived here. So I decided this is where I should stay,” she shared, drawing attention to walls filled with memories of her parents.

Jeon Jong-seo’s father passed away in February 2023 after battling spinocerebellar atrophy. At the time, it was reported that her partner, director Lee Chung-hyun, stayed by her side at the funeral.
