Jennie’s Quick Reaction “Rescues” Jisoo’s English Moment During BLACKPINK’s San Francisco Concert
Jennie smoothly handled the incident when Jisoo stumbled during BLACKPINK’s interaction with fans in English.
BLACKPINK recently completed their encore concert in San Francisco. Notably, during the interaction with fans, Jennie came to the rescue of Jisoo with a moment that delighted fans.
Specifically, Jisoo became flustered, not knowing how to express her feelings in English to continue sending her affection to local Blinks, only managing to say “sing.”
Immediately, Jennie showed quick wit to “rescue” Jisoo: “We sing, you sing, we sing together.” Jennie also added, “Jisoo is very happy. You guys should be proud that Jisoo is so happy because we sing, you sing, we sing together.”
Jennie’s “save the day” moment garnered much praise from fans for how she handled the situation.
Except for Jisoo, BLACKPINK’s strong English ability has been widely acknowledged. Rosé is Australian, Jennie spent time studying in New Zealand, and Lisa’s father is Swiss, contributing to their good English. In BLACKPINK’s interviews abroad, Jisoo often remains quiet or responds in Korean.
However, Jisoo always has her fellow BLACKPINK members by her side, supporting her in English anytime, anywhere. Jennie, in particular, is often referred to as Jisoo’s “English teacher.” On several occasions, when Jisoo eloquently spoke in English on stage, fans noticed moments of Jennie beaming with pride.
