Han Seo Hee, “Yang Hyun Suk won’t apologize and I don’t want to punish him anymore. I want to end this fight”
Han Seo Hee suddenly changed her position at the 4th appellate trial of former YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk.
On August 25th, the Seoul High Court’s Criminal Division 6-3 held the fourth appellate trial for Yang Hyun Suk on charges of violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment, Etc. of Specific Crimes (retaliatory threats). Han Seo Hee and her acquaintance Go attended the trial as witnesses.
Han Seo Hee shed tears and confessed, “I’m tired of receiving attention and criticism within the ambiguous boundary between an ordinary person and a celebrity called ‘singer trainee’ for the past six years. After enduring trials for four years, I’m already exhausted”.
She continued, “I wanted Yang Hyun Suk to admit his wrongdoings and apologize, but there seems to be no sign of that. It’s regrettable but I want to end this fight”, adding “I don’t want to hate anyone now. If he had made a sincere apology, we might not have come as far as this trial”.
Yang Hyun Suk was accused of threatening Han Seo Hee to change her statement regarding the former iKON member B.I’s drug allegation in 2016. The incident became known to the public when Han Seo Hee reported it to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in 2019.
Yang Hyun Suk denied the charges and the first trial court also acquitted him due to insufficient evidence. However, the prosecution filed an appeal against the ruling.
Shortly after being acquitted, Yang Hyun Suk returned as YG’s executive producer in January.
