Jennie’s biggest Chinese fansite announces to stop supporting BLACKPINK’s activities, is it YG’s fault?
The decision of JennieBar shows their indignation about the promotion plan that YG is arranging for BLACKPINK.
On January 25, all 4 members of BLACKPINK appeared at the same place for Weverse’s fansign. This reunion is thought to have eased the anger of BLINKs – BLACKPINK fans – after a year and 4 months the group has not made a comeback, but one thing has angered Jennie’s fans and caused them to pull a harsh decision.
Specifically, on January 26, Jennie Bar – Jennie‘s biggest fansite in China, and some other fansites such as Baby Blue, Jennie data team, Jennie protect team… altogether announced that they will stop supporting BLACKPINK‘s activities until YG gives details about Jennie’s solo activities.
“YG haven’t arranged any individual activity for JENNIE since 2019, moreover, JENNIE is the only member who wasn’t included in YGE’s 2021 plans.
As an active female idol, she has excellent stage and songwriting skills, but does not receive clear planning and fair resource allocation. Such a long hiatus made me unbearable for the company’s unfair treatment, and we decided to stop supporting
the group until Jennie was treated fairly.
In 2018, the solo was a huge success, but Jenny also had only one song as a solo, and she had no further plans. YG chose not to do anything when Jennie was stalked and stigmatized by bad news. We strongly request that the company respond to
these events, put Jennie’s plans on the agenda, and return her missing resources!”
Earlier, at the Weverse fansign yesterday (January 25), when asked about her return as a solo artist, Jennie said that she was working to prepare for BLACKPINK’s comeback first, so her solo plans may be set later. This is an affirming detail about the rather ambiguous solo project that YG has for Jennie.
