On March 9, Jennie‘s agency OA Entertainment released an official statement addressing the growing number of harmful posts circulating on online communities and social media. According to the company, defamatory comments and unfounded speculation about Jennie have been spreading continuously, damaging the artist’s reputation.
The agency emphasized that some posts contain completely false information, while others involve behaviors that seriously invade the artist’s privacy, such as following her movements or interfering with her personal time.

“We are preparing legal action based on legal consultation against acts that infringe on the artist’s rights and reputation,” the company said. It also stressed that the response will be strict and uncompromising, adding that no settlements or leniency will be offered to those responsible.
The statement further clarified that both civil and criminal legal measures may be pursued depending on the severity of the violations. These include actions against those spreading defamatory content, as well as individuals who violate Jennie’s portrait rights, intellectual property rights, or personal privacy.

Recently, Jennie has been promoting her first full-length solo album Ruby, further establishing herself as a solo artist apart from her activities with BLACKPINK.
However, her promotions have also been accompanied by incidents involving intrusive behavior. A recent video filmed in Paris showed several people blocking Jennie’s path while demanding photos and autographs. In the clip, she politely asked, “Could I have some personal time today?” and expressed that the situation was becoming stressful.
Despite these challenges, Jennie continues her global activities while her agency moves forward with legal measures aimed at protecting her rights and personal safety.
