Jay Park & Jessi Deny Rumors Of Discord Following Contract Termination Reports, “We Are Good, Don’t Worry”

More Vision’s CEO Jay Park and singer Jessi refuted rumors of a discord between them

On December 7th, Jay Park made a post on SNS, saying “Me and Jessi are good. Don’t worry. There’s no discord”.

Jessi later shared a message on her personal SNS account, saying “Just arrived in NY… and woke up to this nonsense… Ya’ll need to get a life FR. We all good over here. Happy Holidays Guys!”.

On the 6th, articles came out saying Jessi was in a conflict with Jay Park’s agency More Vision and they were in the process of discussing her contract termination after 8 months. As such, some people have raised suspicions that Jessi unilaterally canceled her appearance on music shows earlier.

Jessi was scheduled to perform on the October 27th broadcast of “Music Bank” but she eventually announced her absence. At that time, More Vision explained that it was due to her poor health condition.

According to several reports, Jessi complained about More Vision not getting a pre-recording schedule for “Music Bank” so she unilaterally decided to not appear on the broadcast. At that time, the public suspected that she would stop performing on music broadcasts, but the female singer explained that there was originally no schedule.

Jessi and More Vision have reportedly been expressing different views since the release of her new sing “Gum” in October. In the end, the two sides failed to narrow the gap between their opinions and have been in the process of terminating the contract because it is difficult to recover their partnership due to continuing conflict.

In this regard, More Vision expressed a cautious stance. The agency told OSEN they were confirming the rumors. An official from “Music Bank” also said, “The production has nothing to comment about Jessi’s appearance on the music show”.

Meanwhile, Jessi signed an exclusive contract with Jay Park’s company More Vision in April after leaving P Nation led by Psy. During the promotion of “Gum”, Jessi appeared on SBS’s radio show “Choi Hwa-jung’s Power Time” and confessed, “I was all alone after leaving P Nation. I learned a lot during that time and was betrayed by many people. As I kept trying to endure, I felt like I was about to collapse without realizing it.”
