Japanese actress Ryoko Hirosue announces divorce after second affair scandal & gets removed from all projects
Actress Ryoko Hirosue announced her divorce following extramarital affair rumors.
On July 23rd, Ryoko Hirosue announced her divorce from actor Jun Izutsu through the website of her agency, saying “After discussing with Jun, we reached an agreement to divorce and have also submitted necessary documents for the process.”
The custody of their children will be with Ryoko Hirosue. She said, “As the custodial parent, I will continue to live with the kids as I have been until now”, adding, “I wondered whether I should announce the divorce because I was afraid that my private life would cause a stir again. However, with this decision, I hope it can prevent the children from feeling anxious and worried.”
Ryoko Hirosue has one son with her ex-husband Takahiro Okazawa. Later, she had a son and a daughter with Jun Izutsu.
Earlier, the Japanese magazine Weekly Bunshun reported that Ryoko Hirosue had an extramarital affair with famous chef Toba Shusaku. Accordingly, Ryoko Hirosue visited a restaurant run by Toba Shusaku in mid-May, and in June, they were captured staying in the same hotel, sparking controversy. The scandal intensified as letters they exchanged with each other were publicized.
At that time, Ryoko Hirosue’s agency acknowledged the actress’s extramarital affair, saying “This matter has given a serious caution to Ryoko Hirosue to act more responsibly”.
