Jang Wonyoung’s Sister, Jang Da-ah, Shares Disappointing News Today 

Actress Jang Da-ah, who is scheduled to make her 1st official appearance since debut, delivered disappointing news.

On February 26, Jang Da-ah, who í known to be the sister of IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, delivered disappointing news. 

In particular, the actress became unable to fulfill her schedule temporarily after testing positive for COVID-19. As a result, she will be absent from the debut press conference of her debut work, the TVING original series “Pyramid Game.”

Regarding this, the production team of “Pyramid Game” announced, “Jang Da-ah has been diagnosed with COVID-19, and she will not be attending the ‘Pyramid Game’ debut press conference scheduled for this afternoon.”

On the other hand, “Pyramid Game” depicts the cruel story of high school girls who gradually fall into violence as they divide into perpetrators, victims, and bystanders, picking out a scapegoat through secret voting once a month. It is based on the webtoon of the same name.

“Pyramid Game” is known to have garnered attention from its production stage. The fact that a popular webtoon was being adapted into a drama played a part, but the news that Jang Da-ah, known as the older sister of IVE’s Jang Won-young, would debut as an actress through this work also drew attention.

Born in 2001, Jang Da-ah began her career as a commercial model. With this project, she made her debut as a lead actress. In the drama, Jang Da-ah portrays Baek Ha-rin, who occupies a top position in the pyramid hierarchy.

On the other hand, “Pyramid Game” press conference will take place at 2 p.m. today with director Park So-yeon and actors Kim Ji-yeon (Bona), Ryu Da-in, Shin Seul-ki, Kang Na-eon, among others.

“Pyramid Game” consists of a total of 10 episodes and will premiere on February 29. Episodes 1 to 4 will be released first, followed by two episodes every Thursday.
