Jang Won-young’s Sister Jang Da-ah Talks About Playing School Bully In “Pyramid Game”

Actress Jang Da-ah expressed her honest feelings about the character Baek Ha-rin she plays in TVING's “Pyramid Game”

On March 10th, TVING uploaded a making video for episodes 5 and 6 of the drama “Pyramid Game”. The video unveiled the shoots in the classroom and the gym. The classroom was more crowded than usual because it was the scene where parents visited the school.

Shin Seul-gi got embarrassed upon receiving a compliment on her visual. Kim Ji-yeon showed her cute side while sharing and eating candies with other actors and attaching stickers to her phone case. Jang Da-ah shared, “There’s a PPT presentation today. I really looked forward to it and we’re finally shooting it now”, adding “I’m having a fight with Sung Ji-soo (Kim Ji-yeon)”.

Behind the scenes of the dodgeball shoot at the gym was also revealed. Transforming into the chic and cool character Baek Ha-rin, Jang Da-ah suddenly approached the making camera and showed her warm beauty. She confessed, “Seeing how the ball was thrown, I think my character feels like someone who doesn’t do anything. She neither touches the ball nor answers questions. Even I think this character is too bad. But there’s nothing I can do with it. That’s too bad. Please curse me a lot”.

Meanwhile, “Pyramid Game” depicts a brutal survival in which the students of Class 2-5 at Baekyeon Girls’ High School are divided into bullies, victims and bystanders through a monthly vote to select a victim and gradually fall into a violent war. Based on a famous Naver webtoon of the same name, the drama presents a psychological war between students and gives thrilling catharsis to viewers.

“Pyramid Game” drew attention as it was officially invited to The Series Mania Festival In France, the largest event for series in Europe, earlier last month. What’s more meaningful is that it was the only K-content among the invited films this year and the second consecutive screening for Korean series following TVING’s original series “Duty After School” last year. Even the media outlet BBC highlighted “Pyramid Game” in the news.
